The Santa Clarita Community College District/College of the Canyons is seeking a full-time Network Engineer/Analyst I in the Information Technology (IT) division.

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Infrastructure and Information Security, assures the reliable, secure and efficient operation of the District’s data network in support of administrative and instructional programs. Assist in the design, installation and maintenance of network communications infrastructure.  Performs other duties as assigned.



Four (4) years increasingly responsible hands-on experience maintaining a local or wide area network with a minimum of 1000 nodes.  Analysis experience, including design, implementation and maintenance of security on a data network.  Must have experience with troubleshooting data connectivity issues and the configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless units and establishing connections between various sites using VPN, DSL or point-to-point circuits.


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (120 semester units), with verifiable major coursework in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems or other related field.  Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
